Foundational Truths

What are foundational truths and why are they important? Let’s first look at a foundation in the natural. A foundation is something that we build upon. Obviously, without a firm foundation, the building is in danger of falling or collapsing. This is why certain or essential materials are used to build a strong foundation.  It is the same in our spiritual lives. If we do not build upon certain essential truths, we will not have a strong foundation or anything to stand upon. We will be easily pushed over by life circumstances or when the enemy comes along to try to cause havoc in our life. Look at how Paul prayed for the Ephesians in Ephesians 1:17 -20 “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the Saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which he worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at the right hand in heavenly places,”

Paul was praying for us to have revelation of who God is, our inheritance and the power of Christ that works within us. These are some of the foundational truths we must build our spiritual lives upon. He was praying that we would have a revelation and understanding of foundational truths. Understanding these foundational truths will not only transform you but will revolutionize the way you relate to God and others. You will also have the ability to minister to others with confidence and success as well as bearing fruit for the Kingdom of God! This is the passion and goal of the Best Kept Woman.
